Learjet 60/60XR Engine Run Initial Maintenance

Course Objectives 

After completion of this Engine Run Refresher course, the student should be able to: 

• Safely operate the aircraft as pertaining to engine starting and shutdown; including any pre-engine start operational and/or functional checks;

• Safely perform any aircraft system emergency procedures as pertaining engine and/or APU operation;

• Satisfactorily perform selected aircraft operational and functional checks as pertaining to aircraft engine operations;

• Satisfactorily address and contain aircraft malfunctions as pertaining to systems associated with engine and/or APU operations, while maintaining situational awareness concerning the active airport environment in which these operations may be performed.

Course Objectives:

Training Method: 

Knowledge transfer will be achieved by Instructor Lead Training (ILT) in the classroom accompanied by the use of projected media, printed media, manufacturers’ manuals, vendor publications and practical training tools as applicable.

Learjet 60/60XR Engine Run and Taxi Initial Maintenance

Course Objectives: 

• Safely operate the aircraft as pertaining to engine starting and shutdown; including any pre-engine start operational and/or functional checks;

• Safely perform any aircraft system emergency procedures as pertaining to engine and/or APU operation;

• Satisfactorily perform selected aircraft operational and functional checks as pertaining to aircraft engine operations;

• Satisfactorily perform aircraft ground handling and aircraft operations as pertaining to taxiing the aircraft in an active airport environment;

• Satisfactorily address and contain aircraft malfunctions as pertaining to systems associated with either aircraft taxing  and/or or engine and/or APU operations, while maintaining situational awareness concerning the active airport environment in which these operations may be performed.

Duration: 2 days
